Guildrun Meta Builds

Learn which Guildrun meta builds are supported by current material and how to avoid copying outdated Rush, Stall, Shield, or Assassin setups.

Quick Answer

Guildrun meta builds are best understood as families: Rush Duelists, Shard Gen Assassins, Stall Tanks, Stall Aria, Frost/Debuff teams, Shield Tanks, Crit Rush Assassins, and Endless scaling shells. The material does not support one universal build that is best in every run. The official Steam description points players toward adapting to what the run offers.

What “Meta” Means Here

Meta does not mean “always force this exact board.” Guildrun has shops, ranks, relics, items, specializations, and changing patches, so the strongest plan depends on what appears. A meta page should help players recognize patterns instead of pretending the game has one solved lineup.

The collected tier material shows strong archetypes, and the patch material explains why old builds can fall. Rush counting, Stall values, Spark behavior, class modifiers, relic power, and Endless enemy scaling have all been affected by patches. That is why every meta recommendation should be treated as patch-stamped.

Best-Supported Meta Families

Rush Duelists and Rush Shard Gen Duelists are high-priority because repeated triggers can become damage, economy, or defensive uptime. Shard Gen Assassins are important because Assassin, Crit, Rush, Stealth, and Shard engines appear together in Endless and best-comp material. These builds still need a real tank or survival layer.

Stall Tanks and Stall Aria are strong slower plans. Skorn, Grace, Fiona, Pimenta, Aria, Gustav, and related relic patterns appear in Stall-style material, but the exact best version depends on patch and mode. The rule is simple: if the fight ends before Stall pays off, the build failed.

How to Pick a Meta Build

Start by asking what the run has already given you. If you have Rush triggers and attack-speed support, a Rush shell is natural. If you have Shield, Defense, or Stall effects with a strong tank, a slower survival shell may be better.

Then ask what the next mode demands. Red Rift needs a stable plan that can handle brutal challenges and boss pressure. Endless needs repeatable or permanent scaling, because static power falls off as floors rise. SS difficulty punishes weak frontlines and inefficient spending earlier than lower difficulties.

What to Avoid

Avoid old exact builds unless the material says the numbers are current. A previous meta build may have depended on a bug, old trigger count, or pre-demo tuning. Also avoid buying every “good” hero; strong meta boards are usually focused around a small number of effects that amplify each other.
